X-Feeder è il programma autonomo per Windows in grado anche di fungere da server di dati per un foglio di calcolo Excel. Nonostante X-Feeder non lo richieda, il pacchetto Office può essere utile se si vogliono trasferire tutti i dati da X-Feeder sul proprio file Excel o su un particolare foglio di calcolo fornito con il software.
- Connection Monitor
Come si può immaginare, X-Feeder non è in grado di garantire un aggiornamento veloce dei giochi se la connessione Internet o l’API non funzionano correttamente. Talvolta (nei week-end o al termine delle giornate lavorative), il server BetFair è sovraccarico e impiega più tempo a ricevere dati da X-Feeder. I problemi stagionali non si devono a X-Feeder, in quanto il software usa sempre lo stesso codice per connettersi all’API, codice che è indicato sul sito di BetFair BDP.
- Test Mode
X-Feeder simula il piazzamento di scommesse su una selezione dopo che questa ha vinto o perso, ossia, aggiunge o toglie dai “fondi prova” dell’utente l’importo corrispondente. Inoltre, il software aggiorna il log file del canale corretto, aggiungendovi i risultati del gioco.
- Auto-Dutching
Tale opzione aiuta ad aumentare la probabilità che la prima selezione su cui X-Feeder scommetterà sarà una vincente e, di conseguenza, i costi delle altre selezioni aumenteranno nei turni successivi. L’utente deve impostare tale selezione e determinare quanti giochi deve perdere la selezione prima che X-Feeder vi scommetta sopra. Ad esempio, se l’utente imposta l’opzione su 8 e le selezioni non perdono più di 5 giochi consecutivi, il gioco viene saltato. D’altra parte, se la selezione perde 8 giochi consecutivi ha una probabilità di vincere maggiore di tutte le altre selezioni, quindi, se il software punta su di essa ad un costo di 3.98 nel primo turno, c’è una buona possibilità che il costo scenda a circa 2.5 nel secondo turno e che tutti gli altri costi salgano al di sopra di 4.0, generando, così, un buon %book.
- Auto-Greenup
Selezionare tale opzione se si desidera piazzare l’offerta di “banca” sulla selezione che ha vinto non meno del numero scelto di giochi precedenti consecutive. Ad esempio, se “Mano 2” ha vinto il gioco prima, ma ha perso nei tre precedenti, il software salterà questo gioco. Se “Mano 2” ha vinto 5 volte e l’opzione è impostata su “2”, significa che la condizione necessaria si è presentata, in quanto 5 è “non meno” di 2.
- Betting Options
Tale opzione va selezionata se si desidera che X-Feeder “ricordi” i risultati del gioco precedente e calcoli il valore dei PP precedenti conformemente. Il calcolo è basato sulle scommesse piazzate dall’utente e sulle informazioni, fornite dal server di BetFair al termine del gioco, relative alle selezioni vincenti e perdenti. Tale metodo è più rapido, il che è molto importante all’inizio del gioco successivo, ma potrebbe far sì che il software non sia in grado di operare i calcoli se l’utente ha piazzato la/le scommessa/e negli ultimi secondi di gioco, nell’ultimo turno. In quel caso, X-Feeder potrebbe non avere tempo a sufficienza per ricevere da BetFair l’ultima scommessa piazzata, che, pertanto, non risulterà inclusa nelle cifre PP precedenti.
- Activating Triggers
Non va dimenticato che i trigger vengono eseguiti nell’ordine in cui sono stati creati, pertanto, se vi sono due trigger che devono operare nello stesso turno, ad essere eseguito per primo sarà il trigger che è stato aggiunto per primo. Ad esempio, se si piazza una scommessa nel primo turno e si desidera che contemporaneamente X-Feeder aumenti l’importo di una scommessa dopo una perdita (il che a sua volta andrebbe fatto nel primo turno), il software piazzerà prima la scommessa e solo allora ne aumenterà l’importo. Per evitare che ciò accada occorre aggiungere un trigger che cambi l’importo della scommessa prima di quello che piazza la scommessa.
- Condition Fields
Se è presente una sola condizione nel trigger o se è la prima condizione nell’insieme o se tutte le condizioni dell’insieme sono del tipo “...OR...”, all’utente verranno proposte le opzioni che iniziano con “Any Selection's... (Di qualunque selezione). Ciò accade perché il software richiede che l’utente stabilisca i criteri in base ai quali desidera scegliere le selezioni.
- Creating Triggers
Si possono aggiungere anche 500 trigger alla volta. Essi vengono custoditi in file di testo che finiscono sempre in triggers.ini. Il file triggers.ini fa parte del pacchetto di installazione, ma se ne possono aggiungere altri. L’utente può, così, conservare i propri trigger, che non verranno sovrascritti se si dovesse reinstallare il software, occorre solo assicurarsi che il nome del file termini con triggers.ini. Ad esempio, 1_triggers.ini, mytriggers.ini e three-triggers.ini sono tutti e tre nomi appropriati. Tali file vanno conservati nella directory in cui si è installato X-Feeder.

- Always Backing/Laying on the Same Selection Expecting Its Odds to Lower Down/Grow Up
This strategy is very alike to the previous one except that the software will always place the first bet on the same selection.
- Auto-Dutching on the Back Side
In Round 1 it backed on “Hand 2” as it was set to bet on the hand that lost the previous game. The bet amount was calculated automatically as the default bet size divided by the current price: 4.0/3.98 = 1.01.In Round 2 it turned out that “Hand 2” was the lowest priced selection. X-Feeder backed on all the selections that had prices high enough to form a possible dutch.In Round 3 the remaining selection “Hand 1” got a leap of its price as expected so the software closed the dutch by backing on it and securing 1.25 on each selection no matter which one wins.
- Laying on the Last Winner Expecting an Eventual Green-Up
There is a special set of options for Auto-Greenup in X-Feeder. Open “Settings”, then switch to “Auto-Trade Options” and on to “Auto-Greenup”. Tick “Automated Green Up ON” and from this moment every time the software sees an opportunity to close your bet position (no matter back or lay) it will automatically place a bet for you.

- Is X-Feeder Based on the BetFair API?
Se ci si desidera assicurare del fatto che X-Feeder consumi l’API, basta installare qualunque tipo di software firewall e impostarlo in modo tale che rilevi ogni tentativo di connettersi ad Internet. Man mano che X-Feeder tenterà di ricevere i dati da BetFair, si potrà vedere esattamente dove tenterà di connettersi, ossia una delle URL dell’interfaccia API.

Norton Antivirus proved to be very exigent to X-Feeder up to blocking its work altogether.
